Wardrobe: Clients often say this is the most stressful part of photoshoots. Do not stress! Basic tips: Start with Mom, select 1 or 2 textured pieces as your base. Then, choose simple and elegant accent colors to support those main pieces. Neutrals are always my go-to choice, timeless and classic!
Session: We will start and end with a posed photo, but everything in between will be candid and this is where your energy comes in-laughing, snuggling, tickle fights, drinking hot chocolate from cute mugs, cuddling in a blanket, letting the kids be kids, roasting marshmallows, jumping in leaves, running around the yard, hugging, laughing, playing, holding hands, etc.
Location: Declutter and clean your front porch area, style and decorate, have outdoor lights turned off. If you'd prefer to use your backyard space, we absolutely can do that instead! I've even had families do "porch sessions" around their fire pit, roasting marshmallows. This is YOUR photoshoot! Just remember, it is a "mini" and we only have 10 minutes together-so have a game plan in mind! Send any ideas my way, so that I can properly prep for our session together!
Dogs: I love when families include their pups in the shoot. I am love dogs and I am great at getting them to cooperate in photos too. Don't forget to style them in a coordinating or neutral collar/leash set. Also reminder to remove the poop bags from the leash. I own a dog accessory business and I am glad to hook them up-just reach out!
Gallery: 1 week turnaround, full gallery will be delivered approx. 1 week from our session date, detailed instructions provided, where you can go on and select your favorites, purchase additional digitals or your full gallery, and even order prints directly from your gallery.
